Bee Pin

Where can I find these following insects, and at what time of year should I look?
-Moths and Butterflies
-Grasshoppers and Crickets
-Beetles
-True flies and Mosquitos
-Bugs, aphids and leaf hoppers
-Cockroaches
-Bees and Ants
-Silver Fish
-Fleas
-Termites.
Thanks, I need to catch and pin these insects for a school project, which is due in October.
Moths at night near lights. Butterflies during the daytime. Try to get only pest species.
Grasshoppers can be swept in a net run through long grass.
Crickets are often found resting in soil cracks or under things.
Flies go to smelly food
Mosquitoes (females) come to you or you could collect larvae/pupae from still waters and wait.
Bugs, aphids and leafhoppers will often find their way into a yellow or green ice-cream tub or bowl left outside half full of soapy water. (The are attracted to sickly colored leaves)
Cockroaches are often in mulch or decaying litter in the garden.
Bees you should leave alone
Ants are caught running around on the ground or plants, mostly daytime.
Silverfish are easiest inside where there is shed skin or mold but may be found in gardens. Look at night.
Fleas may be combed from pets. Flea larvae are in their bedding or your carpets.
Termites are best baited or be really nice to your local past manager who uses baits and ask her for some. Either end of summer you may also find flying ones int he afternoon/evening. You know they are termites if, after flight, they tend to drop their wings.

Couldn’t Stand the Weather $4.17 In a brief interview that precedes this CD’s four bonus tracks–all unreleased gems from the original 1984 sessions–Stevie Ray Vaughan makes the point that “music used to be more based on common everyday occurrences like a train’s sound going down the track … a horse walking.” Then he comes on with a version of Freddie King’s “Hideaway” that chugs like a locomotive. There’s also a heretofore un… |

Saturday Night Live: The Complete Third Season, 1977-1978 $10.90 Television history continued to be written in the third year of Saturday Night Live. After a wobbly debut in SNL’s second season, Bill Murray got some traction as a performer and America began to see just how brilliant a comedian he truly could be. Dan Aykroyd owned Jimmy Carter with his extraordinary impression of the late-1970s president, and he partnered with Steve Martin three times in Festrun… |
